1. What Red Scale is

Red Scale grades how red a liquid looks on a 0–5 scale from a single photo, using a plain grey or white reference card in the same frame to cancel the colour of your lighting. It keeps your readings — the stamped photos and their grades — organised in folders on your device, so you can follow how a colour changes over time.

2. Your device, your data, your responsibility

• Your readings and photos are stored on your device. You are responsible for the security of your device (for example, by enabling a screen lock) and for keeping backups of anything you do not want to lose.
• If you uninstall the App or delete a folder without a backup, that data cannot be recovered by us — we never hold a copy.
• You are responsible for how you use the readings and photos the App produces.

3. Free trial, subscriptions, and billing

• Red Scale may include a free trial and a paid subscription. Where a trial applies, it is provided through the App Store or Google Play, and no payment is required to start it.
• After any trial ends, taking new readings may require a paid subscription. Viewing, sharing, and deleting readings you have already saved stays free, whether or not you subscribe.
• Purchases and renewals are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are shown in the App before you buy.
• Refunds are handled according to the App Store’s or Google Play’s refund policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App — for example, by attempting to break, reverse-engineer, or interfere with it, or by using it in a way that breaks applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its name, and its design are owned by Uro Apps PLT and protected by applicable laws. These terms do not grant you any ownership of the App itself. The photos, readings, and folders you create remain yours.

6. Third-party services

To handle purchases, the App relies on Apple’s App Store or Google Play and on RevenueCat, which manages subscription status. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers’ terms. See our Privacy Policy for what is and is not shared. The App does not use advertising or analytics services.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• A grade is a confident estimate produced from a photo and is affected by lighting and your phone’s camera; we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or exact.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the App.

Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, or features of it, where reasonably necessary.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts, except where applicable law gives you a non-excludable right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where a change is significant, surface it in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
